Virtuosic composer Francisco Cerda (who composed the bombastic, fully-orchestrated score for the original game) has been hard at work putting together this soundtrack. It features extended and remastered versions of several favorite tracks (including the 9-minute long “Lost Temple of Croatoa Suite,” which simply must be heard to be believed), in addition to a special bonus track - the game’s main theme revisited for solo piano, performed by Francisco himself.
The Jamestown Original Soundtrack retails for $5 on Steam and Bandcamp, but you can also get it as part of the Jamestown: Deluxe Edition combo pack, which also includes the original game and the Gunpowder, Treason, & Plot DLC.
We're only charging $14.99 for the whole Deluxe Edition shebang. That's 3 bucks off buying the pieces individually, so it’s like getting the DLC for free!
Fans know him for his work on Super Meat Boy, Binding of Isaac, and Realm of a Mad God, and now Jordan Fehr has lent his considerable skill to a brand new set of sound effects for Jamestown. Not only have the weapon sounds on every single one of the game’s ships has been redesigned from scratch, but the entire sound-scape has been revisited, enhanced and polished.
It doesn’t stop there! We also went ahead and optimized our engine, streamlined the gameplay code, squashed many bugs, and generally polished the original game to a high sheen, so many of our players (DLC-buying or otherwise) should see an overall improvement to the game’s performance and stability.
We’re extremely proud of all the fun new ships in Gunpowder, Treason & Plot, and we’re confident that the Original Soundtrack has been worth the wait. Plus, the original game itself has never played better.
Best of all, every one of them is available on Steam as of today!
Thanks for stopping by, and we hope you enjoy this release!
